Wer jetzt, Ende Januar, noch Voraussagen für 2008 losschickt, hat sich natürlich schon einen kleinen Wettbewerbsvorsprung verschafft, vermerkte kürzlich ein Chronist. Aber was für mich dieses Geschäft noch schwieriger macht als es ohnehin ist, ist die Vielzahl von Perspektiven. Trends im Hochschulbereich lassen sich nur schwer mit Entwicklungen im Unternehmensumfeld vergleichen. Und was in den USA “hot” ist, kann hierzulande noch als “Expertentipp” durchgehen.

Wenn man bereit ist, hier etwas Transfer zu leisten und einige Dinge einfach mitzunehmen, bieten die kurzen Statements der über 20 Experten viele interessante Hinweise. Stichworte, die wiederholt fallen: Web 2.0, Social Networking, Open Source, Instructional Design, Authoring Tools.

Lisa Neal, Editor-in-Chief des eLearn Magazines, vermerkt einleitend: “My own predictions for 2008: Better prioritization will lead to more purposeful activities, such as social networking to make meaningful connections as opposed to demonstrating popularity. Less-democratic processes will lead to a clearer distinction between expert-generated knowledge and the overwhelming quantity of information available everyplace, making it easier to discern information quality. Ultimately, time is one of our most valuable resources, and I am hopeful that in 2008 it will be easier to learn, as well as to create and locate high-quality learning content.”
