Leider bin ich erst heute und über Umwegen bei David Wiley’s Beitrag auf der TEDxNYED am 6. März 2010 gelandet. 15 Minuten, die man sich gönnen sollte. Natürlich nutzt David Wiley die Zeit, um über sein Thema, “openness”, zu sprechen. Und dabei hält er in einfachen Worten fest, was Bildung ausmacht und was neue Medien leisten können, wenn man sich daran erinnert.
“Suppose we have two people: One has some kind of expertise, the other desires to have this expertise but does not. At its core, it is this asymmetry that makes education possible. And education is the sacred relationship of sharing that these two individuals enter in to. If the one refuses to share with the other, there is no education.”
