Vom 21.-23. Oktober fand in Montreal das 2007 International Symposium on Wikis statt. Gefallen hat mir gleich das Eingangsstatement auf der Homepage der Veranstaltung: “If you wonder about the significance of wikis for commerce and enterprises, we like to cite Shashi Seth, Sr. Product Manager at Google: “This company runs on wikis.” Jetzt sind auch die Beiträge der Konferenz online, insgesamt 19 an der Zahl - von “Building Collaborative Capacities in Learners: The M/Cyclopedia Project, Revisited” bis “On-line Collaborative Software Development via Wiki”.
Ich habe mir das Papier von Marija Cubric durchgelesen, in dem sie von zwei aufeinander aufbauenden Studien an der University of Hertfordshire Business School berichtet (”Wiki-based Framework for Blended Learning”). Diese Erfahrungen hat sie anschließend in einem “wiki-based blended-learning process” zusammengefasst. Viele interessante Details, hilfreiche Screenshots der entwickelten Wikiseiten - und eine Erfahrung, die sicher leicht auf andere Zusammenhänge übertragen werden kann:
“Students’ engagement with wiki-based learning activities is directly proportional to the quality and frequency of tutor’s feedback, clarity of the underlying learning and teaching process and weight of the activities in the formal (“summative”) assessment.”

Die Arbeit “A Framework for Studying the Use of Wikis in Knowledge Work Using Client-Side Access Data” verdient in meinen Augen ebenfalls Erwähnung. Die Informationen, die aus den Nutzungsdaten gewonnen werden können, sind aus meiner Sicht häufig unterschätzt.
